Or is it?
I was just curious as to when (relative to the wave) your favorite Dead Reign game takes place. Why?
The game that I am currently involved in takes place immediately prior to the wave. I chose that time period because I really enjoy the discovery phase. I also love the role-play involved with the initial discovery of a zombie outbreak.

My DR Megavseral mishmash game had the players preparing to go on an adventure prior to The Wave, then they were off the coast of San Francisco when The Wave hit. Nothing like rescuing a crashed plane to discover zombie on it as well as the mainland!

Re: Timing is Everything
My DR game takes place shortly after the wave hits. I find that this leaves my players with what equates to a distant memory of 'the way things use to be' since they're able to use modern life as a point of reference without actually getting to play the good ol' days.

Skywalker - I like your idea of having flashbacks. How do you address the fact that flashback sequences might directly influence the present day RP in the sense of changing the sequence of events? Is that even an issue for you?
