I’m fired up
I got some ribbing yesterday for posting so many Murmurs (gee, it was only three) and I guess they sounded a little intense or high energy.
What can I say? I’m fired up about the new releases coming up, my Dad is cancer free, I’m writing at a feverish pace, and we have one fun, exciting book after another in the pipeline.
Rifts® Dimensional Outbreak™ should ship Monday and it is just packed with great ideas, art, and source material. There’s a lot of excitement over it and Outbreak is just the start of big things and hot releases from Palladium Books.
Rifts® Heroes of the Megaverse™ is coming along fantastic. I’ve been hotter than Hades writing, the ideas are flowing like water, the artwork is wonderful, and I think this book will be much more than people are expecting. I was tickled when Alex got a preliminary look at what I’ve been working on and he was blown away. I knew the ideas were good, but Alex’s reaction was exactly what I’m hoping to elicit from every reader. “Kev, this is nothing like what I was expecting. The ideas . . . the Book of Heroes and what it does . . . super-imaginative. I think this book is going to surprise everyone.” That’s the plan. And it is coming together on a lot of different levels: As a vehicle for adventures, as a cool sourcebook for use across the Megaverse of Palladium RPG settings, and as a special tribute to all the people who have helped Palladium through difficult times, and that includes you, our fans.
The Rifter® #50 is gonna be hot! I've seen the material and it is good stuff.
Rifts® Vampire books are coming along nicely and I’m excited about them, and I’m excited about our plans for Robotech®. Again, I think many of these titles are going to exceed fan expectations and keep people deliriously happy with our products. On top of that, I’m looking forward to sitting down with Jeffry Scott Hansen and hammering out Warpath™ in the second half of this year along with many other releases.
I just went back and reread this Murmur. Yep, it’s high energy because that’s what I’m feeling right now. Sorry if I’m coming off too strong. I’m in what I call my “Dynamo Mode” when I’m sharply focused, ideas fly faster than I can write them down and I’m writing up a storm. It can’t last more than a week or two, but that’s fine by me. I’ve a got a Book of Heroes to finish writing. And several other titles to finish as well.
