Outbreak shipped and stuff

Unread post by Kevin »

Dimensional Outbreak™ shipped yesterday – March 9, 2010

By now, you probably know that Dimensional Outbreak™ arrived to the Palladium warehouse Tuesday, but just in case, I thought I’d post a Murmur and a bit of an update.

Dimensional Outbreak™ pre-orders and distributor orders shipped yesterday, so they are on their way to you.

Freelancer copies shipped today (Wednesday, March 10, 2010).

The book looks great. The John Zelezenik cover is spectacular and the whole book is a strong package. I hope you guys and gals are as pleased with it as we are.

Fan-friend Eric Campion had the day off and dropped by to give us a hand shipping. He helped for about 5 hours and was a welcomed addition to our usual, small crew (me, Alex, Wayne and Julius). We chatted as we worked, and he marveled at how work intensive shipping a book was. Yep, it ain’t as fast and simple as you might think. It is very time consuming and time intensive. But with Eric’s help we got UPS orders shipped by 5:00 PM and mail order out by 6:30 PM. It’s been a while since we shipped a large book and we were all out of shape and pretty tired by evening. Thank you, Eric, for your much appreciated help. What a way to spend your day off, working in the Palladium warehouse. :-)

Other Stuff

Today, I visited my Dad and ran some errands. I’m delighted to say that Dad and Arlene remain in good spirits and I had a nice breakfast and visit. He and I go to the same Ram’s Horn restaurant every week, to the point that we now have our own, regular table and the waitresses great us with smiles and chit chat.

My car lease ends in a few weeks so I’ve been shopping around for the best deal on a new lease or maybe a purchase of a year or two old mini-van. Still collating data.

I got sick over the weekend, and was out most of Monday. I'm happy to report I think I just wore myself out and I'm feeling fine. Yesterday, we spent most of the day packing and shipping Dimensional Outbreak™, so I have not been able to write for the last four days. Grrrr. I hope to get 2-3 hours of writing in for Heroes of the Megaverse® after I post this Murmur.

Art continues to roll in for Triax™ 2, and all the art is in for Heroes of the Megaverse® . . . all nice stuff. I showed some of it to Eric Campion and he seemed pretty impressed, saying now he wanted Triax™ 2 more than ever and that I needed to hurry with the writing. I’m trying. I’m trying! :-D

Wayne Smith is on track with The Rifter® #50 and it should go to the printer early next week (Tuesday?).

Online sales could be better, but they have been pretty strong this week. Preorders continue to come in for books in the pipeline like Triax 2 and Heroes of the Megaverse as well as subscriptions for The Rifter, which is good because The Rifter® Subscription Offer ends in something like two and half weeks. And once people get to see and start talking about Dimensional Outbreak™, I’m sure we’ll see another sales bump for it.

Can't believe the Palladium Open House is only seven weeks away. Gah . . . need more time. Or a clone. Or time hole.

Keep those imaginations burning and enjoy Dimensional Outbreak.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
