No need to be from across the pond. In Canada we pronounce the letter "Z" as zed. Actually, French and Spanish also pronounce it as "zed". The USA may be in the minority of countries pronouncing it as "zeee".

Last I checked it wasn't pronounced Zed-ero, it was pronounced Z-ero
