I can’t win . . .

I can’t win.
I can’t win the Lotto.
It seems like I’m always behind or fighting a deadline (occupational hazard).
And now my own son, Adam, is complaining that I’m slacking off and not posting enough Murmurs lately.
I’m trying to get darn Triax 2 edited and rewritten for publication and working 16 hour days. (Was here till 11:00 PM the last three nights!) Kids. Sheesh. I feel like Rodney Dangerfield ... hmmm, maybe not Rodney exactly. He couldn’t get respect. I just can’t win . . . or at least get ahead.
Triax™ 2 is coming along very well. I’m at the 50% mark on the editing/writing (which is exactly where I need to be for a change), and the artwork is looking amazing. I should get ALL of the art by Friday and I will be working through the weekend (yes, through Easter) to get the book done! Wayne starts laying out next Monday! That’s the plan.
Online Sales, as noted on Monday, were so-so over the weekend. They picked up Tuesday and Wednesday morning, though not as strong as we expected even with the Rifter® subscription offer winding to an end -- TODAY. Wednesday night, Thursday morning sales are usually the worst of the week so I don't know what to expect for tomorrow's sales. I’m hoping all you Last Minute Charlies place your orders for Rifter® subscriptions TONIGHT.

The Rifter® #50 ships on April 12. Did I mention that the Printer confirmed this ship date in my last Murmur? I also approved the proof copy on Monday or Tuesday, so we are all set, April 12 it is.
Rifts® Hoodie orders are coming in at a better pace, and yes, I realize a lot of you coming to the Open House plan to buy your’s there, which is fine. We got in enough orders to figure out how many to press and what sizes to focus on. Thanks. Oh, but keep the orders coming.
More people are pre-registering for the Open House. Awesome. Please, come on down for a day or the entire weekend. Make sure you reserve your hotel rooms SOON. The special $69 price is only good till April 10th or so.
Took Dad to breakfast this morning. He continues to do well and was in good spirits. He gave me my Easter card and a chocolate bunny (yum), and a birthday card. (It's Friday -- but no time to celebrate. And I'm old anyway . . . 54! How did that happen?). We had a nice time. He and I both have really come to enjoy our Wedneday morning visits.
Sorry there haven’t been more and longer Murmurs, but I have a book to finish! And in case I don’t get to post again for a few days, Happy Easter (or Passover, as the case may be), enjoy the Final Four in Basketball and game on!
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
