Monday Evening Report – April 12, 2010

UPDATE: Triax™ 2. We worked insane hours nonstop over the weekend and today. I got in a 7:00 AM this morning, Wayne has the firt 140+ pages laid out, and we just could not get Triax™ 2 finished today. There is a ton of formatting to fix, zillions of metric measurements to drop in, continuity issues to reconcile, rewrites and final editing to do. As much as we tried, we couldn’t finish her up today without sacrificing quality. We’re close . . . oh so close. We only have 60 pages to go, but that’s another two days work. Guuaaaaghhhhh!

That means, unless our printer can pull off a miracle, Triax™ 2 will not ship till the first week of May. Frustrating.

We may do a special Print On Demand edition to have at the Open House (that went over well with the Dead Reign Sourcebook last year), but we haven’t decided yet.

Online Sales over the weekend were in the gutter; down 55%. We’re sure it’s the usual April slump and not having a major new release this month doesn’t help.

The Rifter® #50 is on its way to folks, but it’s too soon to start hearing reviews.

I’m sure there are all kinds of other things going on, but I’m too damn tired and burned out to think of them. We’ll be back to pounding out the book tomorrow. Oh yeah, Triax 2 is freakin’ awesome – a gut buster for us to finish – but awesome. Everything fans could hope for and more.
