Wednesday Update Report – April 21, 2010

UPDATE: Triax™ 2 is at the printer, I signed off on the proof copy of the book yesterday, and we will have copies of the Triax™ 2 in time for the Palladium Open House. The book will ship to distributors and pre-order people the Monday after the Open House (May 3, 2010).

UPDATE: Online Sales sales over the weekend were low again, down about 50%. However, we’ve seen a bump in sales over the last two days (down only 20%), so that’s comforting. Hopefully, sales start to climb with the release of the Rifts® Hoodies today and Triax™ 2 next week.

Rifts® T-Shirts will become available in the next week or two.

UPDATE: Palladium Open House. We’re in pretty good shape. Been doing prep work since Triax 2 went to press.

UPDATE: Henry Siembieda. Arlene has a bunch of blood work and tests to take, so I’m seeing my Dad tomorrow, Thursday, for breakfast and a visit. I had to skip last week because of deadline pressures with Triax™ 2, so I’m looking forward to seeing him tomorrow. I just hope he and Arlene are okay. I've tried calling him several times today, but I have gotten a response.

It has been a wild week or two. In addition to getting Triax™ 2 and Open House prep-work done, there has been a heck of a lot going on behind the scenes lately: I approved the script for the Heavy Metal Magazine Rifts®/Colt the Outlander® crossover comic strip, I've been in frequent communication with my agent at Surge Licensing, as well as with JB Films and freelance artists and much more. However, I’ll save most of the news for the Friday Press Release. Even then I can only say so much until deals are signed and we co-ordinate press releases with our licensing partners. I can say it is all very exciting.

My apology if I’ve been absent the past few weeks or if my Murmurs were terse or glum. The even longer than usual hours (100-108), deadline and other pressures took their toll on me. I was not in my happy place. :)

On one hand, I wish I had another two weeks to prepare for the Palladium Open House. On the other hand, I can hardly wait.

The POH is always a blast, and after the last six gut-busting weeks, I am so ready to have some fun with friends. And I mean you. Our fellow gamers. The Palladium Open House is as special to us as it is to you. It helps us renew our spirits and enthusiasm. It's four days of games, laughter, talking and fun. We need it. We enjoy it. We feed on the energy and positivity you bring with you.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of working all the time, worrying about the economy and fretting over one problem after another. That’s why I’m making the Palladium Open House a party. That’s why I invite YOU to do the same. Come on over, have fun and forget your troubles – be it for a day or the entire weekend.

More to come . . .

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
