Triax Arrived Early!!
Tuesday Update Report – April 27, 2010
UPDATE: Triax™ 2 arrived today! The approximately 100 preorders are in the mail (or UPS) to you! If you haven’t ordered your copy, what are you waiting for?
What you may not realize, this is a miraculous feat by the printer. When my printer rep called to tell me they were delivering the entire shipment today, Tuesday, I gasped and said, “But . . . but that’s impossible!” She just laughed. Wow. Thank you Cheryl, Renee, and everyone at McNaughton and Gunn for this amazing feat. We really appreciate you doing this for us.
As a result, we shipped out all the preorders today! Distributor orders ship tomorrow, and we’ll have plenty on hand at the Palladium Open House.
Oh yeah, the book looks GREAT!
UPDATE: Online Sales over the weekend were low again, down about 40%. However, we saw a big bounce in overnights sales (down only 12%) and advance sales for Triax™ 2 have been excellent.
Rifts® T-Shirts will become available online next week.
UPDATE: Palladium Open House Pre-Registration. We’ve seen a number of last minute people placing orders for admission to the POH. Awesome. YOU are also welcome at the door, so come on down.
UPDATE: Palladium Open House. We’re in pretty good shape. The warehouse looks great, 95% of the prep-work is done.
- T-shirts and hoodies arrived last Thursday, and Kathy, single-handedly, has folded and bagged all 600 T-Shirts! Yow.
- The Mike Mumah, color, 20th Anniversary poster (signed by Mike and I), arrived yesterday. I've already signed the posters.
- My pal, Joseph Bergmans, arrived yesterday to give us a hand. He drove in from the California Bay Area in just 3 days. We were all glad to see him and he's been a big help.
-Mark Dudley and his pal J.J. came by yesterday evening to help us set up for the Open House. They, Joe, Alex and I worked, laughed and talked till 11:00 PM and I'm still not ready for the POH. Help.
- Costume Contest Trophies arrived today. They are nice.
– We also took care of a few final arrangements at the hotel; such as the open gaming room for ALL-Night Gaming and Open Gaming.
- Tables and chairs arrive tomorrow.
- Kathy Simmons and Wayne got all the pre-reg badges done and organized. She also peeled 30 pounds of potatos for the catered VIP dinners and folded 600 T-shirts. She says she hates potatoes, name badges and, most of all, folding T-shirts, so they better sell or else. Gulp.
- I still have to sort through more of my books and artwork from my personal collection for the live auction Saturday evening, but we already have some amazing stuff.
– Erick Wujcik’s original Rifts Gold edition #25 (proceeds go to the family estate).
- A copy of Amber Diceless RPG signed by Erick Wujcik, Roger Zelazny, artist Stephen Hickman and artist Mike Kucharski. Only 8 copies were signed by all four of these men! Even I don’t own a copy with all four signatures (proceeds go to the Wujcik family estate).
- Some tarot decks and other personal Erick Wujcik items.
- A one of a kind, color test T-shirt.
- Kevin Siembieda artwork.
- Kevin Long artwork.
- First printings and out of print books.
- Bargain books, rare stuff and fun.
UPDATE: Henry Siembieda. Saw my Dad and Arlene this morning for breakfast and a brief visit. He’s been kind of down, though he couldn’t (or didn’t want to) articulate why. I suspect part of it is his continuing memory loss.
It has been a wild week or two. I’ll be pooped by the Open House, but I’m very excited and hope everyone will have a lot of fun.
It’s not too late. You can still join the fun at the Palladium Open House this weekend. Come on down!
