The Palladium Open House was a huge sucess. EVERYONE had a delightful time. Not to jinx myself, but I did not hear one complaint.
The games were awesome.
The panel talks were fun (the best and the longest being on Sunday with Irvin Jackson and Mike Leonard).
Triax™ 2 sold like crazy at the Open House and online all weekend. Several people commented that it seemed like EVERYONE was carrying a copy of the book.
The final tally on sales is not in yet, but estimates seem very good. MORE than any of us expected! Attendance was down 40% from last year. Many attending mentioned being short on funds, and about 20 people who had registered were no shows. Despite the reduced attendance and money woes for most of us, sales for the weekend appear to be down only about 15-20% from last year! Awesome!!!
Most importantly, we ALL had a ton 'o fun. We pushed our worries aside and gamed, chatted and laughed and laughed. It was FANTASTIC.
If we do another Open House, it will not be till 2012, so start saving now.
Much more to come later. I have a handful of volunteers in the warehouse, tossing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and helping out in other ways, so I need to get back there and help coordinate.
One fella is from England, another from Germany. They now have the distinction of saying they came to the Open house and Kevin Siembieda made them mop floors. Hmmm, that can’t be good for my reputation.
