Monday Report – May 10, 2010

I took the weekend off. Yep, the whole weekend, Saturday and Sunday. It felt weird. I only popped into the office for 30 minutes on Sunday to check my email. Saw Iron-Man 2 with Alex and Kathy. We all loved it. Made us think about how amazing a Rifts® movie could be. My agent saw it and thought the same thing. If only JB Films would get super-excited about the movie and greenlight the darn thing already. People want to see Rifts® on the big screen darn it!

Online Sales were fantastic over the weekend! Hopefully, they’ll stay strong all week long as excitement over Triax™ 2, Rifts® Hoodies and upcoming releases remains high.

Hoodies, T-shirts, the Rifts® 20 Year Anniversary Print, and Triax™ 2, as well as Palladium titles across the board, are all blowing off the shelves!

The first printing of the Dead Reign™ RPG is almost gone (we're down to our last 130 copies I believe), so I'll be sending it to the printer soon! Heck, we're almost out of Rifts® Ulimate Edition!

Rifts® Dimension Book: Anvil Galaxy™ is very temporarily out of print and should be back in stock as a special printing on Friday. It sold out at the Open House and several of you ordered it online last week and over the weekend. It will ship as soon as we get it on Friday. Sorry for the delay.

The Rifter® #51 is in production. Wayne’s already started plotting the contents of The Rifter® #51.

Heroes of the Megaverse® is next on my list of things to do. I should get back to the writing of Heroes of the Megaverse® in the next day or two. Taking a break from it has definitely helped to clear the cobwebs from my head and I’m raring to go with a lot of new ideas.

In fact, we are brimming with ideas and enthusiasm about several titles. The success of Triax™ 2 should inspire Brandon Aten and Taylor White to pick up steam on their current projects, and other writers are busy typing away on upcoming titles.

I spoke with freelance writer Greg Diaczyk today and he’s nearly finished with his Rifts® Underseas 2 manuscript (sounds great – like Triax™ Underwater with more about the New Navy and plenty of hardware). Greg will also soon start to tackle a very special secret project. I hesitate to mention what it is, but it’s something fans (and I) would love to see in print.

The two Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ books, Rifts® Lemuria, Armageddon Unlimited™, Thundercloud Galaxy™, Robotech and other good stuff are all in the pipeline.

Yep, exciting stuff and there’s more boiling behind the scenes. It’s good days like today, following a great weekend like the Open House that gets us optimistic. In fact, we think the tide is finally starting to turn in Palladium's favor. Let’s hope so, eh?

That’s it for now. More to come. Keep those imaginations burning bright.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
