Artifact Question I NEED HELP!!!!

does the anti PPE option for artifacts operate like the anti-magic cloud?

Example Anti-magic cloud blocks rune weapon powers like the Sword of Atlantis' ability to fire a blast. There is no PPE cost so can an artifact with the anti PPE option block it for free?

what would you see as a GM?

Thanks

It has a PPE pool that has to be used to absorb the PPE or each individual spell point for point, when the Artifact runs out of PPE, it can no longer absorb spells.

I would use the P.P.E. of the effect's spell version. In the example you gave, the P.P.E. of a fireball. If there is no such spell version, make it up. Magic is P.P.E. after all.

Not like a cloud, detects spell casting and allows its anti-magic pool to be allocated toward canceling the PPE of a spell. For special abilities that don't draw on a PPE supply, I would generally say it couldn't stop.
