Maybe
She is a witch whose familiar is the shape of a wolf and her insanities made her forget she had sold her soul.
Or she is a 3 galaxies evil NPC (cyberknight?) and the BBW is actually a star marshall (so a Big Good Wolf).
Or she is a werebeast and the BBW is really herslef in another schizo form
Or she is a druid or wereshaman and she subconsciously attracts wolves
Etc.
