Mini-Upate July 8, 2010

The wild ride continues. Most is good or exciting.

Sales have been up and down, but overall good.

Writing: I’ve been working on Heroes of the Megaverse®, and doing little bits of writing and work on other books in the pipeline as well as other projects.

The Rifter® #51: I just got the call from our printer that the “blue” proofcopies of the cover and interior pages for The Rifter® #51 are ready. I’ll be running out to approve it shortly after I post this Murmur. Then it's writing, writing, writing. That means The Rifter® #51 should ship next week Thursday or Friday.

The Rifter® #51 is a great issue. Fans looking for epic new source material for Splicers® and Rifts®, or more for the NGR and Triax, this issue is a MUST. The whole issue is good stuff.

Hollywood at home: Due to Statewide tax incentives for filmmakers, more and more movies are being filmed in Michigan. That also means there are a number of film and animation studios popping up. I’ve been talking with a local filmmaker about one of their IPs and Palladium may be doing a role-playing game series based on it. These guys got what it takes, and we’re excited about the possibilities.

We remain positive about Palladium’s turnaround, and there are many good books in the pipeline coming your way.

Hey, don't forget about the auction! It is filled with bargains and good items. It ends this Sunday, July 25, 2010.

I hope I didn’t go on too long in my Hard Times, the Good Fight Murmur. I wanted to let you know that I am facing all the challenges coming my way – personal and business – with firm resolve. That I will keep new, exciting RGP products coming, and make sure 2010 is Palladium’s turnaround year. So far, so good.

More importantly, I realized that many of you are probably facing your own challenges and maybe feeling sad, overwhelmed and/or alone in the face of them. I wanted to tell you it was okay to feel that way sometimes, and that you are not alone. That if you stop and think about it, you probably have a great many people who love you and are there for you. And that you have me and Palladium Books. That I think about you and hope you are doing okay no matter what your situation may be. There’s not a lot I can do to help, but I hope your knowing that I think about you and wish you my best helps in some little way. I hope Palladium’s and my struggles help inspire and motivate you to be strong and know that we all have issues we must deal with. It’s okay, you’re not alone. It’s okay, you’ll make it, one way or another. The little things I can do, I’m doing. I can hold prices down, I can keep the quality up, I can offer the Christmas in July Grab Bags (which helps both you and Palladium), and I can make sure new releases come out so you have a place to send your imaginations and forget your troubles for a little while. We can get through our troubles together.

Keep those imaginations burning bright and your spirits soaring.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
