Mini-Upate July 14, 2010

It’s been a kinda strange week.

Sales are up and down.

Spirits are up and down.

Writing: One day I’m hot writing, the next day I’m cold as heck.

I saw Dad yesterday (Tuesday). He had called to ask if we could have our weekly breakfast and visit a day early. It’s the first time he’s ever done that. I think mainly he was scared and wanted company. Though it took me out of my writing rhythm (I was writing up a storm on Monday) I was happy to oblige.

All things considered, Dad is doing okay. We’re still waiting for his surgery to be scheduled, and he’s pretty nervous about it and the outcome. He said things like, “If I survive the surgery . . .” and other negative things. I tried to get him thinking in a more positive vein, showed him some photographs, read him some emails sent by friends and fans, and got him laughing when I could. I spent extra time with him, but it rather shot my day and I could not get back into the swing of writing or much of anything. Ran some errands and called it a day.

This morning I just couldn’t get going at the speed I wanted. I answered emails, talked to some freelancers, paid some bills and tried to write. Writing was coming slow. Took a nap and woke up with ideas bursting out. I’ve spent the last four hours writing away and liking what’s coming out.

$55-$65+ worth of product for $28 – take advantage of the Christmas in July Grab Bag while you can. As always, I do my best to give you books you want and need. $28 can get you 2-4 game books which can turn into months of gaming fun. There is only about a week and a half left to order, so PLEASE spread the word and order yours today. The offer ends July 25, 2010.

Writing: Heroes of the Megaverse®. I’ve been writing up a storm this afternoon and expect to get a couple more hours of writing in tonight (it’s only 7:15 PM). I hope I pick up tomorrow where I leave off tonight – HOT! You are going to enjoy this book.

We’re expecting The Rifter® #51: to arrive and ship Friday. It’s another great issue. I have Wayne already working on The Rifter® #52 and I have three other books in various stages of production.

Mike Mumah is working away for the art on Rifts® Dimension Book: Thundercloud Galaxy and John Zeleznik should be whipping up cover sketches soon. I need to assign out more art.

That’s news and sports. There’s probably more, but I need to get back to writing.

Treat yourself to a Christmas in July Grab Bag, keep those imaginations burning bright and your spirits soaring.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
