When I went to see the movie "Inception" last week I couldn't help but see how similar it was to the Mind Trap psionic power, and how I'd always wanted to use the power, or how I thought the power should work. For example,

escaping the fantasy/dream by dying, entering the fantasy/dream to extract/plant information/memories from/to the target.
It also got me thinking about the Terror Bears from the old TMNT&OS books and how I'd like to redesign them for AtB.
I always found that a Mind Trap, as it's described in the book would be the ultimate assassins psionic power. Mind Trap your victim in a simple setting and then walk up to them and coup de grâce the target. They can't fight back since their trapped, and the psionic only loses one attack per melee.
Mechanically, I would allow a way for a reluctant target to break free of the Mind Trap. The rules state that if you save v. the Mind Trap, you just realize that it's all an illusion, but you remain inside. I'd change it so that the first save to realize what happening isn't real, and a second save could be made to escape. Escaping shouldn't be easy, but I liked how Inception allowed for you to remove yourself from the "dream" if you die.
However, as I has mentioned in a post some time back, I figured that the Mind Trap could be used for espionage just as easily. An agent with Mind Trap could meet with a spy in secret just by being within six feet of them and bringing them into a Mind Trap and there they would have an hour per real-time minute to pass information, especially if one/both of them has Total Recall.
Paired with Empathy, it would be great for interrogations.
Paired with Hypnotic Suggestion, it might be a more efficient way of Brain Washing.
