I agree, indirect attacks do indeed bypass the force field. As a GM I've set up some great unexpected actions on players who relied too much on force fields and more direct attack protection.

Adding onto my last statement, this line of thinking actually made my players more creative as they started thinking outside of that Force field box when villains would put them up.
It keeps the game action from getting stagnant and becoming a magical/psychic boxing match all the time.

I think I'd rule any spell or psi ability that had a direct damaging or physical effect like Energy Bolt, Fireball, Magic Net and Carpet of Adhesion would be blocked by the TK Forcefield.
However, the forcefield is not air-tight (the psychic does have to breathe after all) so gaseous attacks like Cloud of Smoke would penetrate the field.
Spells that affect the mind or senses like Befuddle, Fear, and Blinding Flash, would definitely bypass the TK Forcefields protection. As would spells that affect the body without any physical means of attack like Agony or Life Drain.

I agree with all the above except carpet of adhesion as its not a "thrown" attack. If memory serves, it simply appears on the ground, bypassing the chance for the force shield to deflect it.

You comment on wierd things occurring due to the use of force fields, well my current group has an interesting situation . . .the psychic used his TK forcefield to parry/block the wall being dropped upon the group. They now have to consider the 1/2 dome of clay now above their heads . . .

Ouch... sucks to be them right now.

In RUE it specifically states that spells like call lightning and fireball ARE blocked as are AoE spells like carpet of adhesion will effect the bubble not the people inside.
Pretty much attacks that do not have a physical manifestation like mind bolt, bio manipulation, etc should work.
Anything with a physical manifestation should not.
The grey area is things like pyrokenesis. The mental energy doesn't always have a physical manifestation and IMO should be able to use the power to start a fire within the TKFF (whereas the fireball spell wont work because the physical manifestation of the spell flies from the mages hand at high speed).
It also says that teleport spells will work into and out of a TKFF. So one could always pop a TKFF around an opponent (assuming they fail to save) then teleport object a fusion block or incendiary grenade (suck up all the air) into the TKFF.

Really? Phase abilities won't work through one. I'd never seen it interpreted that way. Interesting.
Yep RUE says specifically that it allows for teleport.
