Dad is gone

I know many of you have been following the health of my father, Henry Siembieda. It is with great sorrow that I report Dad passed away this morning, around 1:45 AM, October 11, 2010.

I’ll write about him in a day or two. Right now, it’s all I can do to write this short posting. When I last saw my Dad, he was resting peacefully. I’d like to think he went quietly into the night and was received in the afterlife by a host of smiling loved ones. My Mom – his true love – leading the way. His own father, Dominic, playing a snappy song on the saxophone to celebrate the occasion, and Erick Wujcik there to flash him one his sparkling grins and a big hug.

Thank you for all the prayers, Private Messages and warm words. My apologies for not having been able to find the time to answer your PMs. Please know that I appreciate you and your messages, and read every one of them.

I have calls to make and a lot to do, so I need to run. I miss my Wednesday breakfasts and visits with my Dad already.
