Nothing happens under different forms of possession.

Elemental Possession is generally done deliberately to benifit someone. No other being possessing someone in any way effects that persons attributes or abilities.

You can't find the information on other types because it dosn't exsist. Elemental possession is the only exsample we're given.

Uh, then what's the subject being discussed on pages 206 - 207 of CB1, and/or pages 188 - 189 of the DC book?

So, if someone is possessed by a ghost, or what ever have you, then all their abilites remain the same, only their mind is overruled? But does the persons memories have an effect on what he can do? (I.E. could you force someone to attack a freind?) is their no Canon answer to this?

MOST of the time, when a Possessing Entity of any sort takes over someone, that person's consciousness is submerged.

That possessing entity can make you do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING that it wants you to, including killing off each and every single person you ever loved if it feels like it......

Possessing Entities do have access to the various memories and skills of the host body. That is how they are able to know the native language and communicate with others in order to trick them. Other characters that can possess would not. For example, the Plasms from Priorder probably could not because possession to them is a side effect from their natural ability to become intangible. Plasms are not supernatural in nature, just mystics who can overlap the space inhabited by another creature and control that creature like a puppet. I recall a Mental Possess superpower in H.U.2 and a Dark Chi Ability in Mystic China, each of which handled possession differently.
