I'm cutting and pasting this from another board-

Plum Island is a real life government medical research base off of the coast of Long Island that has been implicated in various conspiracy theories, including the making of lyme disease and real life mutant animals & humans. It would be a neat place to use in various palladium games. In N&SS, BTS, and HU it could be a source of germs captured by bad guys or escaped mutants. You could say Doc Feral or similar villains worked there.

Tonight my friends and I are plotting a new NYC based HU campaign and as the GM I decided to include plum island as the evil mutant making lab.

In rifts people could be trying to find the base to see if any tech or data could be salvaged. In rifts in conjunction with the montauk project conspiracies the whole area could be the subject of a campaign. A minor kingdom wanting to make its own mutant animal army to rival the CS could send players there to dig up info. Also the Splugorth have a base in the area, which
certainly adds to the drama. Dig up Plum Island while dodging the Splugorth.

That is a fun idea. I think I'll tweak it for fantasy. Except it would be a scarecrow workshop, on a border land of a conflict. Thanks a lot.
