Bah Humbug

Bah Humbug . . .
I’ve been in a blue and grumpy mood for the last two days. Yesterday was really bad. I’m sure part of it was the crummy weather (single digit temperatures, ice, snow, freezing wind), feeling warn out and feeling the pressures of the holidays. Part of it is just a case of Winter blues (except technically, it isn’t even Winter yet). Business is pulling me away from writing and other creative ventures, making me feel frustrated. A bunch of unexpected, annoying little problems have only added to it all.
Doing Christmas Surprise Packages have helped to cheer me up considerably – which is good, because as Christmas rapidly approaches, orders are pouring in by the truckload.
I’m feeling somewhat better today than yesterday, but I’m still feeling grumpy and down. Angry that so many people I know and care about continue to struggle with finances or illness or divorce, or some darn thing or another and that new problems have cropped up for them. Annoyed that city and county services throughout Michigan are cutting back on road services leaving streets an icy mess. Angry that the local government and news station are trying to blame the cold weather when it’s really the cutbacks. Grrrrr.
I'm guess I'm in one of those, I'm mad as hell and not gonna take it any more kind of moods.
Where’s my Christmas spirit gone? I don’t know. I’m sure it will be back, but yesterday and today, it’s definitely at low ebb. At least all of my Christmas shopping is done. 90% of the gifts wrapped, and I got most people stuff they'll enjoy.
Hope you’re all feeling more upbeat and positive than I have these past couple of days. Well, I better get back to work.
FYI: ONLY TEN DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS! Half that when you include time to process orders and ship, so if you’re planning on ordering from Palladium for Christmas gifts, you better do it very, very soon!
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
