Greetings and Salutations. It's not in the specific list of direct preventions. So it would only provide a +1 to save (by the rules). Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

It doesn't need to be listed. A Mind Block blocks psionic attacks that affect the psychic's mind or emotional state. Mentally Possess Others is such an attack.

Greetings and Salutations. I'm not going to try and argue with you, but if that is your stance I will ask a question. If the psychic's mind can't be affected .... what is the "+1 to save vs. all psychic attacks and mental attacks" for? Don't get me wrong, sometimes I house rule it protects against all mental attacks like that, but I'm not sure how (by the rules) you can have a +1 to save vs. psychic mental attacks* if it automatically protects against all psychic mental attacks*. Again, I'm not going to argue, but I am at least curious to your thoughts behind it. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys to all.

*Note: It mentions "and mental attacks." Also, if you look in R:UE (not sure about other printings, but R:UE is one of the newest and up to date) it mentions Mind Block only works for psionics and offers NO protection against magic. So the mental attack bonus can only apply to psionics.

You know, I can ask you the same thing since the first sentence in the description says MB is the ability to completely close or block oneself from all psychic/mental emanations.

Greetings and Salutations. Well, if you're curious, there are a few possible explanations. There is always poor fluff text. When chosing a game mechanic, I'll go with the game mechanic over the fluff text. Of course, that in itself isn't really an answer. So to that I'll say the psychic is completely closed off. Unfortunately, that really only closes the psychic off from the world, not the world from the psychic. If you don't follow what I mean, this is the reason why the psychic can't use any psychic powers (closed off). It's like locking a door. That doesn't mean someone can't still break into the house. By closing himself off, the psychic prevents certain psychic attacks (as listed), and grants a bonus to save against other psychic attacks (those not on the list). Your turn. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

But the list says "ect" at the end...

Greetings and Salutations. I have to ask at this point, which list are you looking at? In PF2 it doesn't have an "etc." in the list. In R:UE the first list doesn't say "etc." either. The second time they start listing the SAME powers and dont' list all of them they say "etc." (but they did cut off some of the powers). Look back up to the first list. There is no "etc." or any type of other wording to suggest other powers. Are you using a different book? Just trying to grasp at straws? For note, I don't mind house rules. As I stated above, I sometimes house rule it that way myself. But I'm trying to address the rules as written. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

P.S. Still avoiding the question I notice. If you're not going to answer (or have none) you can just say as much or not respond.
