Magic Tattooes

Unread post by Riftdevil »

I was wondering do the monsters created by tattooes do magical damage when the hit and how do you determine their stats? I know they get the maximum MDC amount, but I thought I read that their stats are maxed too. Am I wrong?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Simple :
Animals are SDC constructs and do SDC damage
Monsters are MDC and do MD with their attacks

In all cases, the creature has maximum possible attributes. and yes, it's in the relevant section of Rifts Atlantis.

I think the 1st question was 'if they attack something that can only be hurt by magic, would they hurt that something?'
They are magic, so yes.

As per the monster tattoo descriptive text, their stats are maxed out.

What's hurt by magic in Rifts and not SDC? You mean, can you hurt a vampire or werewolf with a lion rather than having to pull out a triceratops?
Actually, I'll have to go through that section again, I don't rightly remember.

Vamps, Were-people, those with invunerablilty, Cosmo-Knights, to give some examples.

Yes, a magic tattoo wolf would be able to hurt a vamp or were-person.
Remember that Vamps and Were-people have those limited invunerabilities and are Hit Point Beings.

Thanks, I thought stats were maxed as well, I must have missed it in the write up. Animal or monster tattooes can hurt weres and vamps, as well as any other thing that can only be hurt by magic. Obviously, animals can only hurt the SDC creatures, like vamps, and monster tattooes can hurt both SDC and MDC.
