16d added at each of those levels, so it starts at only 1d6 I think.

I was wrong, the progression is 1d6 to start and an additional d6 at levels 3, 5, 9, 12, and 15.

A lot of the damages for the PU 1 and PU 3 energy expulsions are really weird. Energy
Expulsion Heat is weak compared to Energy Expulsion Cold. Energy Expulsion: Force should
inflict a little more damage per level + additional rules on knockdown. A lot of this stuff some
house rules are able to do a quick fix for.

Cold generally is more detrimental to flesh rather than heat, remember how with frostbite how quickly one loses digits, and how warming the flesh must be done gradually whereas with heat damage you quickly cool the tissue to minimize harm. While the heat will progress through three stages of possible burn damage cold is killing flesh rapidly as it crystallizes the water into ice and parts literally break off. A hand dunked into boiling water is less bad off overall than the hand dunked into -40 liquid even though the temperature difference is less going cold than hot.

Speaking of PU3, my copy was the GenCon pre-release from a few years back which were a bunch of loose leaf pages (I've since had it bound). I was wondering if there were any changes from that to the final print copy. I don't have a print copy to compare it to and I never really thought about it until just now.
