1st edition sourcebook questions?
I've played a lot of Palladium games over the years but Fantasy was never one of them. I was just able to acquire a 1[sup]st[/sup] ed. (10[sup]th[/sup] printing) copy for a good price. Now, I prefer to play all my fanatsy games in my homebrew and so I was wondering: which 1st ed. sourcebooks contain additional crunch (new OCC's whatever)? Also, how can I tell a 1[sup]st[/sup] ed sourcebook from a 2[sup]nd[/sup] (especially since seller's in the secondary market often don't say or get it wrong whe they do)? Is there any difference between my 10[sup]th[/sup] printing core book and earlier printings? Thanks!

This is the list of 1st ED books:
Main Book
Old Ones
High Seas
Adventures in the Northern Wilderness
Further Adventures in the Northern Wilderness
Island at the Edge of the World
Yin-Sloth Jungles
Of those, the two that are green were modified and combined into the Wolfen Empire book, and the two that are blue have yet to be released under a 2nd ED version. All other books for PFRPG are 2nd ED.
There are three ways to tell if the book you're looking at is either 1st or 2nd ED (aside from it saying 2nd ED on it). First is to look at the NPCs in the book. If they have a PPE or SDC listing, then the book should be a 2nd ED. The second way is if there are any new skills listed in the book, it's 2nd ED if they are listed in the following manner: Skill Name = X% + Y% per level. 1st ED listed skills as a chart for each level.
The third way to tell is to look at the printing date. Anything released after whatever date the 2nd ED Main Book was released will be for 2nd ED. I'm not near my books right now, so I can't look that up right now.
