Spawn of Flash and Giganta

I cobbled together a hero with the powers of Growth and Sonic Speed. Now I have a 50ft tall giant that can run at Mach 1!

The problem I have is the damage listed for body block/ram for Sonic Speed seems subpar when dealing with a multi-ton mass of doom the size of a 4 story building.

So I ask you; how much damage should a body block/ram by such a being do?

The question is, doesn't increased size also increase speed? Does that have any effect on Speed Powers? Does Strength add to the damage? One of these should apply...

After a certain height(20 ft), speed is supposed to double, but as very little can actually increase the Sonic Speed power's top speed, I'm going by the presumption that it only doubles the Speed attribute number. ANd while strength would definitely increase the damage, I'm more thinking about mass. By my math, a 50ft tall super would weigh about 8400lbs. A 4 ton object moving at Mach 1 ought to do considerably more damage than a 200lb object moving at the same speed; especially when it hits a building.

Probably it should, but most likely in game it does not.

Add the (much enlarged) PS damage bonus to damage.

But really, you don't have anything you could crash into any more. I couldn't crash tackle an action figure with any great effect (heck, I may, at speed, completely step over one). compre the shrinking power as an example of reduced damage against tiny tiny folk

If you wanted to add any more damage, then I'd save it for when you crash tackle buildings, battleships and other giant objects

Well yeah, I suppose against human-sized opponents, it's not so much a body block as it is a fieldgoal kick.

Maybe against human-sized opponents, a bonus to knockback distance would be more appropriate.

A giant field goal kicker! I can see it now as he kicks people clear across the ocean and into different time zones.

I don't know about that, but I bet I can hit that brick wall 300 yards out. ;)

I think there is a Knockback power in one of the books, perhaps your GM would give it as a bonus power only when you are giant sized

it think it is covered (kinda) in the vehicle combat section some thing like d6 per 20 mph and d6 per 1000 lbs or something

To heck with kicking people when you're a 50' giant... just stomp on the little suckers like the bugs they are  I mean seriously, what do you plan on tackling at that height, the Sears Tower?

I always wondered why giant characters do not get a stomp attack...

Just as long as he dosent start trying to flirt with the statue. And already i have a few lines in mind.

"Is that torch hot, or is it just....you?"

"As a matter of fact, every part of me DOES grow!"

"Would you like to see my New Colossus?"
