I'd say they have to at least open the suit once every 4 hours or so in order to answer natures call. If they wanted to eat they'd have to remove the helmet. Beyond those things, other than the inside of the armor getting funky I don't think there would be too many long term consequences other than maybe bedsores if they left it on for weeks.

Just my opinion, I can't remember seeing any rules on non-powered armor and duration that one can wear it without side effects.

I think what you're looking for are more detailed fatigue rules than Palladium usually uses. The system usually only considers it in terms of how long a character may run at full speed. I don't have a copy of Palladium Fantasy or BtS, but they seem like the most likely places to look for rules that you can adapt. In your position, I would apply small penalties to combat abilities and speed after a pc has been in its armor for 24 hours and increase those penalties every six hours after. Eventually the players will take the hint.

If you don't mind, cite the passage to which you are referring.

Maybe you could look at that and come up with some ideas on how to penalize the prolonged wearing of armor. If you want some suggestions that aren't by the book, in past games I have penalized initiative, slowed or completely stopped healing and penalized hit and parry/dodge rolls. I just don't see anyone getting a good nights rest in any kind of armor. Of course, I have never tried to sleep in armor either.

it says any armor on page 71 thank you

You asked for any other books that had information.
Volomyre answered your question.
