Excitement and ideas on many projects are running hot, forcing me to find time to coordinate product design, engage in concept discussion, and get things to the next level.
I think something like 125 Christmas Surprise Packages shipped this week. They’ve been going all over the world from Japan and Australia and across the USA and Canada. I think most people will be delighted with what they get.
The Rifter® #56 shipped out to EVERYBODY. Okay, almost everybody. I held a few back to include some contracts for select freelancers. I really like this issue. I love Steve Dawes’s Beyond the Supernatural™ material and Irvin’s cover. And what’s not to like about Rifts® in Orbit or Time Travel (actually, I’m not a fan of time travel, but I know a lot of gamers are).
Grunt work. Meanwhile, I’ve been stuck doing a lot of grunt work – sorting and shipping The Rifter® #56, signing a gazillion books, talking to T-shirt printers, talking to book printers, getting reprints lined up, writing contracts with freelancers, paying bills, answering emails, touching base with Harmony Gold, outlining new projects and a bunch of others stuff. Gah. I’m trying to get as much out of the way as I can so I can write, write, write for the next 2-3 weeks!
The first Rifts® comic book script for our Second Rifts® comic arrived today, though we’ve all been too busy to read it. I came up with the broad strokes for a Rifts® graphic novel myself the other day. Woke up with the story streaming through my head.
We have all kinds of ideas for game books, comic books and other products. Some will be coming soon. Others in 2012. At least it has been a very productive week.
