I can hardly believe it . . .

I can hardly believe it, but I took most of the Holiday weekend off.

Spent five hours at the office on Saturday (a fun and productive meeting with Chuck Walton) and about five hours on Sunday (this Murmur, a bit of work on Rifts® Lemuria and a few other things). I think I needed the break, because I just couldn’t get into the writing groove.

I did some Black Friday shopping (I think I’m 98% done with all my Christmas shopping!), talked to a number of friends and family on the phone, did a little reading, got caught up on some TV, watched a couple DVDs, started a basic exercise routine (I will be thin and trim by the Palladium Open House!), selected items for a pile of Christmas Surprise Packages, hung-out with Alex and Kathy a bit, and did a lot of thinking on a variety of subjects.

The delight of the weekend was a telephone call from my dear friend, Kay Kozora. She sounded good, though I could tell it is a struggle for her to stay positive in the light of debilitating chemo-therapy. I remember how chemo debilitated my Mom in her struggle against cancer years ago. Not pleasant in the least. Hang in there Kay. You are in the thoughts and prayers of everyone at Palladium Books and a multitude of other people – from Palladium fans to friends and loved ones – rooting for your recovery! Go get ‘em, Kay.

Tomorrow is Monday and I’m looking forward to working entirely on Rifts® Lemuria, so we can finally send it to the printer!

Can hardly wait to see Robotech® New Generation™ Sourcebook which ships by the end of the week.

I’m secretly hoping Rifts® Path of the Storm™ – One writer’s vision for the Rifts® Movie arrives early. It would be sweet if both books could ship by Friday.

I think gamers will enjoy both of these titles. Robotech® New Generation™ Sourcebook is packed with new and useful weapons, mecha, O.C.C.s and information. Rifts® Path of the Storm™ is just plain fun – and useful. The many Rifts® fans who keep asking for a new Rifts® novel should love the movie script as it has a very finished, novel-like feel to it. The peek behind the scenes, the RPG character stats, and demons and artwork are the frosting on the cake.

As I’ve said before, Rifts® Path of the Storm™ was a labor of love for all parties involved and we think Palladium fans are going to love it too. The screenplay is a fast, fun adventure story that is a pleasure to read. Plus the stats for the key characters (including three new demons, the heroes, villains and story) should give gamers ideas for their own campaigns. And a 96 page book priced at only $12.95 retail, how can you resist purchasing it? Should ship December 5, a few days sooner than I originally anticipated.

Online sales started out super, but petered out overnight. I’m hoping we’ll see a strong upswing Sunday night and Cyber-Monday.

Speaking of which, the toys/action figures and Palladium role-playing item on my Ebay Store are all on sale. That is to say, they are reduced from their already low prices. Check it out at:

And do yourself a favor, and order at least one Christmas Surprise Package. It really is the best deal of the holiday season anywhere. Buy them for friends. Buy them for yourself. Buy them to try a new setting or complete your collection. But buy at least one! I mean, heck, for the cost of what most other game companies charge for ONE supplement, you can get a Palladium Christmas Surprise Package and get 4-5 juicy Palladium game books/products! And if you want autographs, we are happy to sign each and every book. NOBODY in the game industry will do that for you. So order yours this weekend and don't stop with just one. ;)

While I’m talking about X-Mas Surprise Packages, I want to thank everyone who includes a brief comment and kind words of encouragement. We appreciate the love, support and feedback.

Keep those imaginations burning bright.

Sincerely,
