I like PA settings and After the Bomb looks interesting. I don't know too much about the game besides mutated animals. Anyone give me a quick rundown of the game?
Also what sourcebooks are good? Are the older ones just bundles into 2nd Edition?
Also, isn't ATB based off TMNT RPG? If so, does the old TMNT supplement work with AFB 2nd Edition?

Re: Curious about After the Bomb?
Basically technology, particular genetics technology, got to the point that home kits for creating your own custom life forms came about and stupid kids being stupid found it funny to create custom diseases. Public crack down just caused them to try harder and networked computers from the idiots basically weaponized a human cell that turned into a pandemic killing all over the place. Since it carried human genetics it also meant the occasional animal was mutated instead of killed and 'infected' with human traits like sentience and bipedal form. A few panicked military sorts later who thought it was an actual attack and launched nukes and the modern world came to an end and the apocalypse recovery period started.
The original TMNT book for AtB was updated and incorporated into the AtB RPG (although they curiously left out maps that you can download from the site somewhere). The old modules can be used but you have to update them to the RPG and make adjustments based on the various changes (since the original module had society lacking in things like home genetics kits or customized plants like the Steak Potato and was mostly our world just after being nuked).
The RPG itself was intended to be TMNT 2nd Edition but with the loss of the license rather than discard all that work they simply retooled it as an independent RPG and used the original AtB module as its foundation.

Fair warning: I consider being called a munchkin a highly offensive slur and do report people when they err in doing so.

It's 'canon', not 'cannon'. A cannon is a big gun like on pirate ships, canon is what you mean when referring to something as being contained within one of the books such as how many dice to roll for a stat.

They can do that, but not get out a book in time... one that's been sitting on a self for years, and is basically done?
Given they started TMNT 2nd edition while they had the license and didn't want to waste it because it was mostly done when they didn't get the book out before time ran out I'm not seeing the question there. Not like they had it done and out in no time it was something that took years as well, guess it just got lucky or they just liked AtB and Mutant animals (the TMNT and AtB line did have an impressive number of books out even if they were thin, probably third in number behind Rifts and Robotech).
