How Many OCCs Are There?

Ok, so as a tool for myself and the community, I'm putting together a list of every OCC/RCC available by game line. I don't have all the books, but I have access to a lot of them, so while my list will be incomplete it will be better than trying to remember everything.
Anyhow, I started working on Palladium Fantasy, listing all the OCCs by book and page (title only - no descriptions), only including those OCCs that are suitable for PCs. So I left out Alchemist, and all the stuff from LotD, and other stuff that's suitable only for NPC villains. I also went through the first 25 Rifters (that's all I have, apart from the 2 I got for DOANE), and there are...
119 FREAKING OCCS/RCCS AVAILABLE FOR PCS IN PFRPG!
Holy freaking cats! I knew there were a lot of OCCs in the megaverse, but 119 just in PFRPG? Holy freaking cats!
Anyhow, I'm about to start working on another portion of the megaverse, but thought I would put this out there about the number of OCCs. Not to mention that I think this list will be an amazing tool so you can just look at it and say "That one - this book, page x".

Greetings and Salutations. Okay, my first thought had been to say if you had checked my list (
http://www.prysus.com/pf_occ.htm ) you could've saved yourself some time. However, I just did a count (using a program) and only got 69 on my list. Now I didn't include the O.C.C. restricted to certain races (such as "Tezcat Warrior O.C.C." or "Danzi Wandering Shaman O.C.C."), because I wanted only those everyone could select (though I have them written down somewhere else so I could easily get them if I ever needed). However, even taking that into consideration, I'm hesitant to believe that there's 50 race specific O.C.C.
So now I'm curious how you got that many. Errr ... wait ... right, you were including Rifters, didn't? Hmm ... factoring that in, you might have it.
But if you take the time to break it up, not too bad. There are 13 world books and Mysteries of Magic. I'm not counting either Land of the Damned Book, Monsters & Animals (I don't believe there are any O.C.C. in there), or Dragons & Gods. So 69 in 14 books comes down to close to 5 O.C.C. per book (a little less). A little much. Now if we look at your figures, there's closer to 39 books, and 119, so basically only 3 O.C.C. per book. While I think some of those classes could be trimmed, 3 per book isn't too bad (in my opinion). When you get to Rifts ... heheh, good luck. ^_^
Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

Prysus, I wasn't aware that someone already tried to do this. I'll have to take a look at your list and see what you've got.
You also seem to be failing to recognize that I'm including RCCs, and not just using OCCs. Players have the option of taking a race and not throwing an OCC on top of it, and because of that I included those in my list.

Ohhhhh .....
Greetings and Salutations. So you mean like in M&A, under the Lizard Man race there's a small "R.C.C." note about the typical lizard man. You included that? Okay, yeah, things like that would definitely hike the number up. I never even tried to do anything like that.
I actually made mine as a G.M. tool. I'd have players (some new to PF) wondering what options they could play. I found it easier just to go through the books once and create a list of available classes. I did the same with skills. I actually tried to do something like that for available player races too (where all the race specific O.C.C. are written down), but I don't know what type of method I was using for that and it just didn't work out well. I thought about including the Rifters too, but decided to stick with only official material.
Note: I left out the "official" Zodiac Mage O.C.C. by Carl Gleba in Rifter 50 on principle, because while it's "official" and a neat concept, I didn't like how it describes all elves as a bunch of tree loving hippies (he didn't use those words). Even though it was only one sentence I didn't like how they got put into that stereotype, because I felt PF had done very good to steer clear of it.
Since I primarily play PF and I designed it as a GM tool/aid, I only did the information for those books. Everything else (from Rifts to HU to Rifter material) I allowed in on a case by case basis (naturally, I allow my Rifter material in by default). Anyways, just giving some back story/history to my work. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

If you get to Rifts, there are lists up to a certain point in the World Books (maybe 23 or 24) in the Rifts Game Masters Guide.

The two
Rifts Index books may be of some use as well, but only cover up to stuff released before Dec '97.

There are over 1 thousand OCCs, RCCs, and Races in the Palladium Universe.
One of the players in my gaming group compiled a list using all of the books we have, which is about every one except Dead Reign and Recon.

I have used your list in the past, and again say thanks...
