Changing of the Guard (GM)

Unread post by EnlightenedVagabond »

I just finished my stint as the GM for the group as we are round-robin style, since I didnt bother using my character from the previous GMs arc of the story, I decided to have the character not return and wanted to make something else.

I am leaning towards a Gun Master (China 2) or Paratrooper (Not sure where its from, a merc book if I recall)

On top of that, I would like some info on the location and suggestions of good race choices for these O.C.C.s

Kildred? What are these and where are they located?
Cold-Blooded? I read about these in a recent thread, something "kind of" undead but not really? where do I find these?

The group currently is thinking about a character change as well, as we recently uncovered a very powerful "McGuffin" that allows us to travel to different dimensions and time periods.

One of the players is considering a re-vamped version of his old dragon character, not sure if it was a hatchling or something more.

I recommend HUMAN, they're resourceful, cunning and are capable of terrible being ruthlessness and performing unspeakable atrocities all without losing the potential to love the world around them.

Fairy Bot. Easily underestimated and their mastery over technology can make them formidable opponents. Plus they're cute.

Sadly I just cannot take that R.C.C. serious. :P So, no thanks.

Ideally id like to it be one that meshes well with the O.C.C.s listed. I just dont see a Fairy Bot Gun Master or Fairy Bot Paratrooper; even existing as a thing. Maybe I need a better artistic renditioning of it than the image from Rifts Canada.

No, thats pretty much it. Except the gun master has a greasy black pony tail and dark glasses and the Paratrooper has a square jaw, scar over one eye and crew cut.

What about a Ganka? That could work.

They're all sorts of awesome! I am not sure where they're originally from but they're in D-Bee's of North America (pg. 93-95). They're intelligent living plans with the speed and reflexes of a juicer that prey on Xiticix (eat them whole) they can pick any O.C.C. except for CS ones of course and they have a killer sense of humor.

Minotaur (conversion book) paratrooper. The only thing worse than some one raining down death from above is a giant man cow raining down death and cow **** from above.

I second the Fairy Bot. I've had a desire to play one named Frank the Foul-Mouthed Fairy. One onery, insert cuss word into every other word fairybot.

The bug in the Gankas mouth in the illustration is a Drizit.

Also, Cold Blooded and Paratrooper are in the Mercenary Adventure book.

You will find cold blooded and paratrooper in the same book Rifts Mercenary adventures.

I recommend a Quick Flex alien Paratrooper, with sharpshooting, or a Grackletooth.
As for Cold ones, they are Munchkin like crazy especially if you pick the right race. I recommend Malvoren.

Have fun.

Well, for Gun Master you are pretty much limited to elite human soldiers from the Geofront. I'm pretty liberal with allowing things and that one would still take some doing. Though with enough McGuffin power, who knows..

Paratrooper could go with any race that allows for Man-at-Arms, and is a fairly badass choice, regardless of race, and could likely be found in various forms on many worlds. I'm going to go flip through DBoNA and see what tickles my fancy in this respect..
The concept of a Krak Paratrooper amuses me, and a wrinkled boisterous three-foot tall badass inspired by R. Lee Ermey amuses me even more.
On a more sinister side, a Vernulian military character could be any interesting choice as well.
