Holy bartender, SpiderBat Boy...A dark day game in the South

Yes, we are going to be doing a BtS crossover game in about a month, riding dark day through (using the 2012, "end of the world", bunk), while our characters are based in the south of the USA. In Tennessee, the bible belt buckle it's self!

How do you think people are going to react around here during Dark Day? With vampires, were wolves, demons, monsters, etc out walking around. And no light in the sky. Panic? Suicide? Or what?

Ummm, Tinker...I'd give that a 2.5 stars chance out of 5 of surviving dark day simply because you brought up colloidal silver. You might survive for that reason alone. Vampires are rather "big time" here in our BtS game. So, well done there Mate. Cheers.

You may find that Southerners are far more fit to survive Dark Day than anybody. Many have weapons and wilderness skills, many have "true faith" and there's a sense of community in the South that is not as prevalent in other places. Southerners aren't the stupid hicks that Hollyweird likes to play them off as.

Oh some of them are, and there's a bunch who'd be just as screwed as anyone else, but once you're out of the cities and into the smaller towns, yeah, you've got folks with more guns than sense, who've been using them since they were old enough to hold one, and know how to fix and repair what they have, at least the minor stuff. And then you've got the kind who have better supplies and more mistrust of the government than your average militia member.

As for the faith thing, the same small percentage would have enough faith to do anything with, but overall, it's not strong enough to have any effect aside from a possible moral one.
