There are two separate super psionic powers, one in Rifter 25 and another in the PF2 book, that specifically cause insanity. They both work slightly differently and one is capable of being made permanent, but I can't recall which. Each has a fairly long duration as well.

If either character is insane for me, both characters get those insanity (or at least, must save or get them). They're like STD's of the mind when it comes to Mind Bonding.
