How to deal with super tk with a close combat bad guy

I am running a campaign were one of the main enemies is a close combat specialist character that works with vamps (he and his buddies are in a certain world book which i will not name for sake of spoilers) and I have a mind melter with super teli in the group I was wonder how do I stop him just lifting the guy into the air while the rest of the group fills him with bullets.

Have the guy weigh a LOT?
Have a psi-nullifier or something in the equation?

can he dodge a mental attack he doesn't know is coming? Maybe require a strike roll -- straight with no bonuses and miss below an eight? It's not a modern weapon. I really don't know how to handle that. I would definitely recommend a strike roll though. Maybe 4 or better? He's a Mind Melter. It's not gonna be very difficult for him to man-handle a moving target with Super TK.

It appears that if you have a super tk any singel none magic target if good as dead unless they are packing rediculus fire power and are able to shoot at them while being throw around.

Super teli?? Super TK?

If super TK then if you are trying to lift the guy so he is hung mid-air to be shot up...he'd, logically, get a save vs Psi. His clothes, :twisted: don't get a save.
That at least the way my house rules turn.

A good tactic for the close combat guy would be to take the blind fighting skill from Splicers and use smoke bombs or Cloud of smoke spell to kill visibility. You can't target someone you can't see.

Use Telepathy if the PSI guy has mindblock auto defense then most of his powers are unavailable to him.

Wear down the psychic ahead of time. Super TK isn't exactly cheap. Have your NPC have minions, and backup. Also consider giving the dude a jetpack.
