Re: Real life cities near borders of ATB areas
people forget that the area covered by the ATB main book is a fairly tiny part of the east coast..and that there is a huge undetails space between that area and thearea covered in roadhogs.
though i did draw up my own rough map..sorry about the lack of fine detail, photobucket autoshrunk the image.

note the stuff in the great plains and ohio region are my own speculation as to what is there.

Re: Real life cities near borders of ATB areas
I've found that trying to play AtB in a devastated version of the real world based gets rather complicated with people who may "know" the area you are gaming in. So I've taken to having the game taking place in a "comic book" version of the world as we know it, kind of like the TMNT comics version of the real world. Close but off a bit and changed where needed.
I also like to replace the more modern cities with ones of more futuristic design:
* Arthur C. Clark and The World of Tomorrow
* 12 Pictures of Futuristic Cities
* Olympus City
* Venus City
* Logan's Run
* Megastructure
Doing this adds a bit of mystery to the game in that the players no longer know what to expect when they are sent to one of the old cities.
