also if you shlepp on over to Yogoslavia, you can find some odd soviet era memorials that just beg for post-rifts supernatural stuff attached to them.
this one especially feels like it ought to have eldtrich energies pulsing out of it.
and this one feels like you should be able to step through to other worlds..
and as always, Dark Roasted Blend is an excellent place to look for similar bizarre or fantastical structures.
for example, Non-egyptian pyramids.
or Underground cities and bunkers.. i'd imagine that Cappadocia and Ozkonak in turkey, or the Wieliczka salt mine in Poland could be great places for human survivors or non-human groups to build homes. the salt mine in poland is actually mapped, more or less, and might make a great 'dungeon crawl' for rifts..

Places of power where you least expect them....

"Trouble rather the Tiger in his Lair,
Than the Sage among his Books,
For all the Empires and Kingdoms,
The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"

There's also the Puerta de Hayu Marka at Lake Titicaca, Peru.

Kyiv, Ukraine has a 'Friendship Arch', much smaller than the St. Louis Gateway Arch, but still, some pretty big things could come through it
