The power is a passive effect in that it does not take an attack/APM from the Gorgon for it to take effect.
If they are greater then 200' away from it, they are out of range from the power.
Mirror'ed shield is the only "tech" avalible to a PF char.
In a high tech setting.. video camera with a monitor to look at.
