Which book are you refering to. "Rifts vampires" is not a book. Vampire kingdoms? vampire kingdoms sourcebook? Arzno?

On pg 127 under the section " the destructive power of dark weapons" it reads
" roll damage as usual, except a dark weapon does damage simultaneously direct to hit points or MDC"
Does this mean it bypass any MDC armor the player is wear or have activated?
No, it doesn't bypass armor. "Direct to hit points" means that it bypasses the target's SDC if they're a SDC creature.

Apparently it is correct to just call it "Rifts Vampires". I wasn't even aware of this book until now, I had only heard of the revised world book:
https://palladium-store.com/1001/produc ... dated.html
"Hero Vampire and Deluded Vampire O.C.C.s." ?
Getting back to the sourcebook, I like this idea of "hero necromancers". It also mentions "The Mayan god Camazotz, Lord of Bats and Darkness." Was he removed from the Revised/Updated World Book, then? Should we expect more powerful stats for this guy to bring him up to the god levels we see in D/G, Pantheons, Egypt or SA? I wouldn't utterly hate that, I could treat the weaker Camazotz as pre-SoT and the stronger Camazotz as post-SoT and just say that during the chaos of the Coalitions' wars, he gained worshippers and more power as the vampire kingdoms expanded while Coalition spent time on mages and Xiticix.
Clearly both books are going to be essential to know what direction Palladium is going in with their vampires. Much like Nightbane and Shadows of Light are also essential.
Would anyone happen to know which of the PF world books deals with vamps?
