Actually some of these aspects are discussed in the material we submitted actually. To give you a general idea, it really depends on the Great House and its particular views/laws/citizens and how its enforces and imposes them. Indeed sex will never go away nor should it Prostitution , lust and love will all be parts of society and I am sure rather it was legal or not, there will always be interspecies relations between humans and biotics or TJs for that matter. Now how the Great House feels about it and how its laws are established and enforced is up to the Great house and its structure. However, these variables may also be solid reasons why some Houses are in alliance and others feuding with seething spite and disdain.

As to HAs possibly ruting, do you mean as in elk antlers? If so, I would say yes for herbivores. It makes it very intriguing to see the shaggy rut and growing from antlers and racks adorning the rut. Possibly even a muss stage where the herbivore HAs and the pilots even become territorial and have an increase in testosterone during the rut seasons.

I would say it doesn't matter. I am assuming that the Librarian(s) would have encoded the desired traits they sought to impute into the design rather it was male or female, but each Great House and its corresponding Librarians are different. The librarians might not have reproduction of HAs and War Mounts in mind, however they might consider male or female aesthetics as part of their design bio-engineering approach to a design, thus choosing certain aesthetics of a male or female species for the HA or War Mount i.e.: a male lion = adorning a mane, a female marsupial = a pouch, a stag = a mighty rack of antlers or horns, a male orca = a larger straight dorsal fin, a female spider = Larger size due to sexual dimorphism, etc.

There is no reason why they couldn't be... but why would they?

Considering what can be grown... I'd say gender is a matter of the mind rather then the body.

sure why not? Just don't let it interfere with combat operations.

That would depend upon each house and the society it cares for. Though this brings up the question of what do you mean by species?
