C257 TW Creations presents - the Autoscrollwriter.
Made from an authentic pre-rifts typewriter, the autoscrollwriter makes creating magic scrolls a simple and easy method of preparation - in today's world you can never know when you will run out of p.p.e or have need a costly spell when your run down. Additionally, the Autoscrollwriter will never run out of paper for your scrolls.

Physical Requirements: 8 Carats of black Garnets, shaped into the typewriters impact head 1 carat of amber, at the back of the typewriter near the paper in slot. One mechanical typewriter with impact head (new or old) - older typewriters may have additional effects on the spells imbued at the G.M's discretion (typewriters used by famous or prolific authors could boost spells that are aligned with the authors main theme)

Wouldn't work. The spell strength for scrolls created with the spell is 12:

The creator's spell strength cannot be transfered so all saving throws from scroll magic are 12 if created as a spell, and 16 if created as a ritual. -- BOM, pg. 140

Clearly this wouldn't be a ritual, so it would be 12.

Otherwise, it sounds like a great idea.

The spell level refers to variables like duration and others that increase with the level of the spell not the strength of the spell

A Fireball scroll from this device is a level 15 fireball with 15d4 damage and the increased range

I don't see how that would be possible unless it utilized Rune Magic and/or had a powerful entitity trapped in it (eg. Baalrog, greater elemental, Beast, etc). In other words, something has to power the spells to put them out at 15th level.

Otherwise, and no offense, it sounds like a munchkin device. A first level LLW who can create 15th level scrolls? That's too powerful.

as per the rules - to create this you need to be a level 15 Techno-wizard - the device level controls the caster level of the create scroll spell.

your also correct in that a 1st level techno-wizard can't create 15 level scrolls - I do need to adjust it's description, but as per create magic scroll, you can't create a scroll higher than your own level

This is an extreme example that takes the better part of a year and a quarter to build. allowing a literate wizard to create scrolls during downtime up to level 15 - really the max is the users level.
