Dont like the bold pinstripes all that much though. I like them more muted.

Illegal for you to wear a bullet proff vest? thats silly...You'd think countries with guns would let you wear a bullet proof vest...just a wierd thought.

And the part that mentions it.

Watch your wallet as wearing bullet proof clothing in the US may be illegal. After the notorious armed robbery in California in which police had to pitch a prolonged battle with the criminals due to their bullet proof garb laws were passed allowing only police officers to use bullet proof clothing. That gunfight was so serious that the cops had to run into gun stores and commandeer high powered hunting rifles to take down the killers.

Because cops cannot take headshots even when they know they have an armored perp. Center mass is so ingrained in them they cannot overcome their training it seems.

Thats what police sniper are for. A few years back in Toronto a sniper took out a guy who had a gun at womans throat with a clean shot to the head. the city was in an uproar..but the cop (who remained nameless) did exactly what he needed to and that woman was probaly very happy he did that. Its not that cops aren't trained to take head shots..there just taught only certain cops take them. eitherway that is a nice thought on the suit..but some idiot will forget about the impact and get killed anyway...LOL!

Edit: and it was a gun the guy had in that toronto incident I'm recalling...not a knife.

This is an example of what would be available in the HU setting.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

If combat armor for troops can get beat by bulets so can this. The term bullit proff is incorect as bullets can get threw it under the right conditions.

Head shots are allot harder to do in combat situations, it is not that cops can't do it lot harder, and may require getting closer.
The Clones are coming you shall all be replaced, but who is to say you have not been replaced already.

Master of Type-O and the obvios.

Soon my army oc clones and winged-monkies will rule the world but first, must .......

I may debate canon and RAW, but the games I run are highly house ruled. So I am not debating for how I play but about how the system works as written.

ya, nothing short a tank is "bullet" proof..and even tanks can be taken out or didsabled by the right bullets.

Add on to the bad press There is alot fall out for improper use of headshots and as such superiors 'discourage' the practice save for the rare times SWAT and Snipers are needed. and even then they need clearance.

I'd agree, even the coulour scheme fits HU. For rifts I see more of a Startrek or blade runner look.

Palladium's ruleset makes headshots waaaaaay to easy compared to IRL. :P

I love how the tailors have to use bandsaws to cut the material. That's some serious fabric.

Easy enogh to type Bullet proof vest and robbery in a search. but the idea why one may need a liscense or permit for a vest is there..even if I don't quite agree with the idea. But from a security and law enforcement angle I can accept it. I'll have to look Canadian laws regarding vests..

Wearing bullet proof armor is not illegal in the US. It is perfectly legal to do so. It is not legal to do it while committing a crime.

Ah so if it worn as a concealed suit would there be issues? Since guns can be carried openly in some states would this suit have similar restriction or is wearing the armor concealed a problem?

No there would not be an issue. Concealable body armor has been available for a long time.
