I can't answer because Palladium didn't bother to make Macross era specific OCC's and MOS's.

Jedi's got a point there... but the favorite OCC I've used to play Macross games has always been Valkyrie ("Veritech") Pilot.

Have to say this is my only real complaint about the entire book. Using the SC OCC's just doesn't fit very well, especially the MOS skills. Have to do way to much modification for the skills that aren't there.
Still, have to go with the Veritech pilot.

Yes, the space could have been made for Macross era specific OCC's.
The stats for the Battle Pods MDC, Heavy PBC's, 22.3mm auto cannons, and hand to hand combat DID NOT have to be repeated three times over for the Standard Regult, Light Artillery Regult, and Heavy Artillery Regult. It doesn't take half a brain to figure out that the only real difference between the Standard Regult, and an Artillery Regult (Light or Heavy) is that the Standard Regult's anti-air lasers are swapped out for the missile launchers, and that the inclusion of said launchers reduce the mecha's speed and dodge bonus.
In fact it is my opinion that since the Zent's are not very mechanically inclined their mecha would have a lot of 'plug and play' features so as to replace damaged weapon systems, and limbs.

let your YES be YES and your NO be NO but plz no maybe
Re: What your favorite O.c.c in Macross saga?
I would have to say Veritech Pilot as well but I agree that it would have been nicer to have specific Macross OCC's and MOS's instead of having to use the SC version and try to remember to make changes.

I am just finishing some Macross era characters for a few upcoming cons and while the Destoid pilot and tech officer come along pretty easily the Veritech pilot takes a lot of work too. The hardest one is the military specialist. In SC they have great MOS skills but they need a lot of changes in Macross.
There are a few changes that every OCC needs. Some are simple, like changing WP e-pistol & WP e-rifle for regular WP pistols & WP rifles as there are no energy weapons to speak of in Macross. The other is that in SC every OCC has ground VT piloting and those have to be changed to something else useful in Macross.

This is how I have always portrayed Zentraedi tech, even in 1st edition. It is the only way they could keep mecha and weapons operating in the field.

reprinting the weapons stats was likely to cut down on the amount of page flipping the user of the book would need to do. and honestly, cutting out the duplicate entries across the book would save what, 1 page? maybe 2?
they could save more room by printing the mecha artwork at half the size they did. so i'm not too worried about it.
