What book contains steamtrain stats?
Making an old west PF style world and after that a World war I and II setting based on the old west setting. So was curious what Steam trains had for stats.

I don't think PB got around to stat'ing out steam locomotives and their cars in any of their books.

Did they never make GAW trains for New West? Or at least have high tech hover trains or something you could use as a basis?

The best they have is the TW train. Which is, I guess, better than nothing. But it would have been nice to have the non-TW version to compare it with. Oh well, you take what you are given eh?
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Re: What book contains steamtrain stats?
Pretty much. Though trains are a set piece, generally. The reason for stating them is they're going to be involved in combat or something. If that's the case, you can use a comparable vehicle, something closer to a car than a tank.
Otherwise, google their speeds to figure out travel times.

Ya, looks like I found the one thing they didn't stat. Looks like making them from scratch. and getting the speed will be easy compared to making the rest of the setting. have at least three OCC's and a list of weapons to go through. Thank you all.
But that GAW Train idea inspires a thought..GAW "Old west" product line..LOL!

Re: What book contains steamtrain stats?
i imagine you'd be making it SDC but i think you'd be closer to do the stats for an (sdc) tank since since it's a lot of metal at least a thousand to maybe three thousand SDC for the engine
fifteen hundred for box car's (cargo)
and a thousand for passenger car's
and about 25 mp/h i think?
if they are going to be armed or armored i think it was source book 1 that had building options that would fit? (i know i made a few vehicles from one of the books and i think that was the one)

i own but am less well versed in RUE, and my memory is ... lackluster at best keep that in mind if my posts contradict canon lol
