Re: zahmbrack worms?
probably wouldn't even notice them. magic and psionics aren't exactly super-effective in the splicers setting, and zembahk aren't exactly impressive apart from those two areas.

Pretty much this. Though as per the write up for the spicers world the splugorth wouldn't find it all that appealing and likely would be repulsed by the place. In other words they would open the portal send scouts through and after getting the report they would shut down the portal and make no plans to ever go back all because of one simple thing... the Splicer world is anathema to magic, psionics and the supernatural.

Likely nothing. At the worst the machine invades setting up a control node and begins manufacturing their robots and the nano-plague. Range of the plague will be limited at first.

Re: zahmbrack worms?
theoretically? the original programming of the machine made it responsible for everything on whatever world it's on. it *may* simply not care about other worlds at all.
on the flip side, it may just consider anywhere it can get to without the use of a spaceship to be on the same world. or it may have altered that particular portion of its original program, or decide to alter that particular portion of its original programming once it realizes there is (potentially) easy access to new lands with new humans to fight and/or torment.
really, there are so many ways it could go, i'd say the answer is whatever you want to happen within reason.

While the MDC>SDC depowering, aspect-halving and cost-doubling of magic/psi are huge hits in this setting, there's still a LOT of potential use for many of these things.
Think of how dangerous a conjurer or earth warlock with 'create steel' would be, for example.

psionics and magic largely don't exist.
anything that results in something actually like the zembakh is pretty much going to be a complete accident as a result of gaia fiddling around with stuff and just happening to hit a specific combination of genes.

Re: zahmbrack worms?
I think OP means they get imported via a rift or something.
I think we're overlooking the massive technology resources they have with their Kittani minions. They could still collect slaves and biological samples that way.
Of course... the place is anathema to tech too, the Kittani would encounter problems trying to actually USE their tech since it would be prone to machine infection.
What about the Metzla though? Aren't their weapons actually organic in nature and not actually magical so they'd remain MD?

Re: zahmbrack worms?
Tor... you are missing the point. The Splugorth are supernatural beings who love magic. The Splicer world is devoid of magic... it written that supernatural and magical beings can't stand being there... supernatural and magical beings are the ones making the decisions and they don't want to be there.

I never said they would show up in person, the Empire can still invade without Splynncryth or similar doing so personally.
Odds are they would send expendable proxies like Witches or essence fragments to possess people.
Since they get turned SDC, it does make sense they would not bring their main body there.

What would happen if a librarian got one & tried to decipher its dna?

Re: zahmbrack worms?
They would file the material for any potential use later, but for the reasons cited above(zembahk aren't impressive psychics, and psionics appear to be dampened to the point of ineffectiveness in the Splicers setting), I don't see the Librarians enthusiastically using zembahk DNA in anything.
File it and forget it.
