What are the TOP 3 things you hope/desire/want to do at the Open House in 2015?

Here's mine:

1. I want to play either Dead Reign or Rifts with Kevin as the GM.
2. I want to play a Megaverse in Flames / Minion War event with Carl Gleba at the GM.
3. I want to play and/or GM at least 10 RPG events between the OH and the hotel.

1. Play in a HU game.
2. Get my pic taken with NMI.
3. Don't end up naked in the lobby......again.lol

1. Play in a game with Kevin as the G.M.
2. Meet other people too and play in more games.
3. Have a great time.

1 - meet people I have met on these forums and/or on Facebook because of Palladium's games.

That is all.

1. Catch up with old friends, make new ones and enjoy everyones company.
2. not get mugged.
3. sleep with an American girl on her native soil (there will still be role-playing involved so this counts).

1. Play in a game with Dark Elf as the gm.
2. Meet lots of people.
3. Get people excited about the MA program, and get new people to sign up.

1) Meet Kevin and all the PB crew after 24 years of waiting...

2) Meet Chuck Walton and all the other talented artists.

3) Meet the people I have met in the forums.

I hope I will have some time for gaming

1 - MA discussion panels
2 - Some GM panels with people like KS, Julius Rosenstein, and Carl Gleba
3 - Run as many games as I can

1. Game 40 hours straight again...straight as in a row...not...nevermind.
2. Somehow have even more fun...is that possible?!

Thanks! Yes, I have played Rifts and BTS, but PFRPG and DR have still eluded me.

something always seems to stop me.......... i keep failing save vs real life..lol

1. Meet Kevin and have him sign my very battered 1st copy of the Rifts Main Book
2. Hopefully play in one a Kev PF or Rifts game
3. Meet people both from the boards and artist/writers

1. I hope my wife finds something she enjoys while at the open House. (She's not a tabletop gamer and was awesome enough to set up us going as my birthday present this year!)
2. I hope that I get to participate in at least one game and that somebody will walk me through the rolls and such in a game because I haven't played since I was in the service about 12 years ago and I'm rusty when it comes to the system.
3. I want to shake Kevin's hand and thank him for creating something that has allowed me to use my imagination, helped me meet new people who have become long time friends and entertained me for countless hours.

Does she like board games at all? I will be bringing my Rifts-adaptation board game, so that might be something to offer her. I specifically designed it to appeal to both gamers and non-gamers - even my mother-in-law enjoys it!

No problems there - you will not be alone in not having gamed in a while, as there are always some attendees from similar backgrounds there. And most everyone there is super-cool, so I doubt anyone will take umbrage if you have to ask for help with anything. In fact, please consider yourself invited to join one (or more) of the games that I'll be GM for!

Amen! I did this at my first Open House.

Kevin is super-nice. If you catch him at a moment when he's not having to go to an event, panel talk or a game he's running, he'll even use your handshake as an excuse to stop and chat with you for 5 - 15 minutes.

Thank you for the invite to your games. I'd love to participate in anything you are running. My wife loves boardgames and I'm sure she'll give your Rifts adaption a try (count me in on that as well!). Even just a couple seconds to say hi to Kevin and thank him would be awesome. Having a couple minutes to converse with him would be fantastic!

No problems there - you will not be alone in not having gamed in a while, as there are always some attendees from similar backgrounds there. Palladium usually posts a schedule of games/events/panel talks a week or two before the Open House; they also post it physically at the Open House itself. Speaking from experience, your best bet to get a chance to talk with Kevin is to look over the schedule, see when he will be hosting panels/running games/doing other stuff and when he isn't, then keep an eye out for him during those times he isn't. There are all sorts of people there who will be doing the same thing, so you may have to wait your turn and even then only get a few minutes with him, but believe me, it is worth it. He'll also autograph any books you bring his way, even if it is a stack of them. Like I said before - he's super cool.

One other tip (this is something I always have to remind myself about, so I figured I'd pass it on - not trying to be bossy. ). Try your best to be respectful of Kevin's time/responsibilities/mental-state/energy level. Kevin is super nice and talking with him is a blast, but as the Open House goes by he expends a tremendous amount of energy (as do all the Palladium staff) so he'll get more and more tired as time goes on. There are also times when he'll need to leave you in order to get to an event or game on time, or when he'll have to deal with something that's come up unexpectedly (at my first Open House he got called away while I was talking to him because a volunteer helping out with the event couldn't find more toilet paper for the bathrooms!). Just be polite if that sort of thing happens, knowing that you'll get another chance to talk with him in a few hours, and that he truly loves talking with fans whenever he gets the chance.

I guess I'd better post my top 3 Hopes/Desires here as well! (Great topic, btw)

1. That many/most/all of the people at the OH will try and enjoy my Rifts board game.

2. That I won't lose my voice running five games and playing in several more!

3. That I get a chance to hang out with Wayne once again (he's another awesome Palladium staffer and the guy in charge of the Rifter).

#1. Play in one of Kevin's Fantasy games (I've been to every Open House but one and I've missed this opportunity
everytime).
#2. Meet with fans and fellow freelancers to talk about the joy of Palladium Books
#3. Spend four days on vacation without once thinking about anything else going on back home.

1) To actually be able to go (would be for the first time)
2) To meet/game with the people I speak to regularly on the boards
3) To meet Kevin and Crew

1) Try out some of my Scenarios for Gencon.
2) Meet some people I only know by their Forum name.
3) Make Good Friends out of Friends, and Friends out of acquaintances.

1) Game with all you crazy folk
2) Buy some awesome art
3) Win something cool at auction

Relax (and by relax I mean get not rest and game like a mad man the whole time).
Recharge. So much on need of a gaming energy recharge.

1. I want to pick up a copy of Atorian Empire in print [already my dreams are crushed for now]
2. I want to play my alter ego, HELL LORD FURY and his army against players!
3. Realize that I will be demo'ing Atorian Empire and already have it in print.
4. Eat pie!

2. SEE THEM DRIVEN BEFORE ME!
3. HEAR THE LAMENTATIONS OF THEIR WOMEN!
4. and eat some pizza without getting heartburn.
