Situational question about Sixth Sense

The situation is this; you wake up to find that you have been kidnapped. Does the fact that you are willing to use any force necessary to escape up to and including lethal force trigger the villain's Sixth Sense? Or does it take a more specific intent?

I'd say it takes a more immediate intent. If memory serves Sixth Sense is only good against threats that are 60 seconds away or less.

The willingness to use force would not trigger it IMHO unless you will likely get into that fight to the death in the next 60 seconds. Now if you decide that 'this scum is going to die for this' and he is in the next room....its time to cough up some ISP. :D

I would say no. That you're willing to kill isn't going to trigger his sixth sense... that you have gotten loose and are about to brain him with a rock? That you have a psionic power that you're about to use that will injure or kill him? That triggers sixth sense.

I'd have to say no. Being willing to use lethal force means nothing to sixth sense unless you are actually acting on it. unless they already have you in their sights, or are about to, it will not trigger.

Only if you're going to act on that willingness within the time-frame that 6th Sense works with.

6th Sense should only really apply for surprise attacks. "The sixth sense is only triggered by an unexpected, life threatening event (a trap or ambush is within 90 feet/27.4 m or a flash flood is running his way) which is already set into motion and will happen any second." (This is from the Rifts UE listing of the Psi Power, though IINM it is the same/similar in PF2E, HU2E, RMB, and RT2 in 1E).

So based on your description of the situation here I would have to say no. It would not trigger 6thSense by default, unless the action comes as a complete surprise.
