D-Bee Mystic (No Psionics)
I'm putting together a D'norr Devilman Mystic (WB-30), but they are psychic void, what to do?, what to do?
I have a couple ideas myself:
1) Add extra spells
2) Just drop the psionics and build the Mystic as normal
Anyway i would like some ideas from anyone who has done this already

Use the NB Mystic from the NB Main book as a guide. And discuss this with the GM as you make it.
Now if you have asked about the same about the mystic class in PF then the answer would be, They are a psychic void and can't be a PCC.
If this was for a game I was GMing I would give you the answer They are a psychic void and can't be a PCC.

May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

Re: D-Bee Mystic (No Psionics)
The few examples I have seen just generally drop the psionics with out compensation. That said talking to your GM would probably be the way to go. A small number of compensating spells (say three or four spells level 1-3) should be pretty good. Especially if the spells are stipulated to be spells that replicate psionics (See Aura, Impression, See Invisible, Etc.)
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

Well, now i feel silly.....if i would have read further on the list of available OCCs it actually says that the D'norr can't take any OCCs that require psionics including the Mystic

Good thing your the GM *Points to that handy Fiat Wand that comes with the GM hat* Just wave that thing, and Voila, psionicless Mystics. Make sure to rename it into something like "Inspired Spellmaster" or something and your golden.

Lol yeah......but even as a GM i still try to build NPCs as legal as possible, because some of those dropped in as extra PCs (just in case)

Which is why you do it this way. Now it IS 'legal' Its not a mystic, its a new class that is based on the mystic. Sure its a house rule class....but if you do it carefully it should be perfectly fine as a PC. Its also useful to have the set up handy for if someone wants to build this on one of the races out there that doesn't have psionics and doesn't block mystics (I know there are a couple, though their identities escape me at the moment)
