Inter-dimensional thieves
In my current campaign, one of the characters is on the hunt for a group of thieves that stole some artifacts from Alfheim. I'm still unsure as to who exactly stole the items, or for who. I may tie it into Splynn.
What are some good groups or races that exist that would be specialized towards inter-dimensional thievery and such? I'm sure there must be a group described in one of the books. Who have you guys used to god effect for similar adventures?

Re: Inter-dimensional thieves
The Temporal Raiders from Rifts England are of course the first go to.
It's easy to blame everything on the Splugorth
Rifts Dimension book 7? Megaverse builder has the Tolkeen Artifact hunter if you want to tie it back to North America

Re: Inter-dimensional thieves
The tolkeen artifact hunters is what jumped to my mind as well their whole goal is to travel the various planes to steal magic items and spells for tolkeen or after it fell to inflict upon the CS.

We're too early in the history for the Tolkeen hunters, but I'll keep them in mind in the future. I like the idea of the temporal raiders though. Time to dig out England.

Your game will be better for it
Disclaimer: temporal wizards are by far my favorite character class.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.
If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

Re: Inter-dimensional thieves
The Olympian Club would be a group that would fit that mold. They are in conversion book two. They are a raider/merc group that is mid to high powered and impersonates the Greek pantheon to add credibility to their prowess.
Fun NPC who are con-men who will steal/cheat anyone even the splugorth and other "gods".

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

This was one of my original thoughts. I might just do a group consisting of Temporal Raiders and Phase Mystics.
