Other then the Kevin Long Rifts Logo Palladium games in my opinion suffer greatly from a lack of branding. He is my idea for a Splicers logo which I even went as far as having 12 t-shirts made up. I kept one for myself and sent the rest to Palladium and other Splicers fans.

That logo is awesome, and I agree a good logo is needed. Maybe add like a DNA Sequence turned horizontal to the top and bottom of the logo, like the way it fell on the shirt it would give a border around the word.

Like this is a DNA sequence. Turn one of the strands on its side and use that to outline the word Splicers just below and above the word. Just a thought. Awesome logo though! :ok:

It is interesting but at the same time too tech for the houses. If I had graphics talent I'd have made so one have looked like it was made of computer components and the other out of host armor material and the double helix made of the two entwined with the connecting rungs being lasers and other shots back and forth.

imo logos have to be clean and clear in presentation and appearance so you can tell what exactly it is and read it quickly. The logo from the Aliens movie franchise with the glowing "I" is a good example of this and embodies what I was going for.

I did experiment with more organic looking letters and they just looked sloppy and hard to read. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see other peoples take on a Splicers logo since their currently isn't one. The text on the Splicers main book looks like crap.

Love the DNA sequencing! Good idea. I have been thinking if I added anything text wise it would be RPG is smaller letters underneath SPLICERS.

But then less is more.

I'm glad you like the idea! In my opinion I think you should just leave it as just the word "Splicers". It's simple, looks clean and like you said a logo needs to be clear in presentation. It would be nice if the double helix could just become the symbol of the game, maybe a mutated bio-organism like helix or something. It would be amazing just to see that on the cover of a book or shirt and nothing else, just that double helix, and recognize it and be like, "oh cool, a Splicer shirt".

Ok had a thought on a logo for Splicers and I think its is an amalgamation of a couple of things I have read on the forum boards and my own crazy mind (some of the $#!& in the dark and dusty corners is down right scary).

First lets start with the title "Splicers" the "Spli" I envision being the organic side in shades of red and off white (bone) that has what looks like several strands of DNA all converging onto on point between the letters "ic". The "cers" would be in shades of blue to white and be something like a circuitry board or fiber optic and hydraulic wires and tubes all leading to the same spot as the other side and where they meet would be a light burst.

So it would look something like this.
Splicers

Obviously I would love to draw up something for this (and maybe someday I will) but I am rather ham fisted when it comes to being physically artistic.

The part that I know I have seen somewhere else on the boards is having profile shots of the various Splicers forces on one side with the same of the NEXUS forces on the other side. I believe having this above the logo would be AWESOME.

All of the above would obviously be a title of the main book and would I think only cover say the top quarter to third of the book cover. The rest of the cover I think should sow a battle scene of epic proportions. The first image that comes to mind would be a squad with one of each class in a fox hole/crater being charged by a large machine force with a couple of Draco's and Archangel escorts in the distance.

Well that is my $1.238 and now I have to go ice my brain I'm getting overheating warning.

I would like to see other variations, like a Bio-Mechanical style.

Really nice logo design...simple and to the point.
