Robotech Illustrated is back!
Hello everyone,
Sorry for being gone for such a long time. As you may have noticed, Robotech Illustrated went down some time ago. What with moving and settling into a new city, I lost track of it and forgot to renew.
The good news is that I moved again, and now that I have some more time on my hands. I'm in Afghanistan... and I have literally nothing better to do than go to the gym and work on a web-site.
The bad news is that someone is now squatting on my domain name, so I have been forced to re-brand. The new website is up, and it is now called Mecha Journal.
http://mechajournal.com/
It is much the same web site as before: that is to say an expanded rehash of the old unofficial Robotech Reference Guide that I used to be a contributor on. As such, much of it is fan-fiction based. However, like before, I will be including Reference Files with every entry to better separate what is cannon, secondary cannon, and pure BS.
Also, I will be first filling in all my files with abbreviated articles and edited/corrected reprints from the uRRG... This will just be temporary though. I will eventually do a complete and original article for each item listed in the indexes.
This will also allow me to open each entry up to discussion and incorporate every one's input into the eventual "final" draft... when ever that final draft happens.
I will also be adding plenty of original art-work.
So, take a look guys and let me know what you think!

Re: Robotech Illustrated is back!
Thanks guys!
And no need for any worries while I'm in Afghanistan. We are doing zero kinetic missions... I mean zero. The only ones really going out are the SF teams, and even they are relegated to pulling out cordon while the Afghans kick down doors. So, no fun for me on this one. :/
If anyone is interested, I can open a thread to republish my thoughts and impressions on my mission here so far...

Ewww...ekranoplanes! Yeah, I always wanted to do/have ekranoplanes in Robotech...they were such Cold War-era-speculative-thread strangeness made hardware stage. Thanks for remembering the 'Caspian Sea Monster'!

Re: Robotech Illustrated is back!
Cool stuff. I like this kind of material. It just feels like a Robotech universe when we haven't really been getting this despite the numerous attempts to do so. So, for me, I find it an interesting read. And just makes me happy that Robotech is alive.
